Life Onboard "Linda"

Helpful tips for gulet cruisers

Life onboard your gulet is informal, you won't need much daytime clothing, just your swim-wear, a pair of shorts and a top for when you have had too much sun. You may need a sweat-shirt or track-suit for late nights on deck (particularly at the beginning or end of season).

What is a "Gulet"?

Linda_05

A gulet (Turkish pronunciation: [ɡuˈlet]) is a traditional design of a two-masted wooden sailing vessel from the south-west coast of Turkey, although similar vessels can be found all around the eastern Mediterranean. Today this type of vessel, varying in size from 14 to 35 metres, is popular for tourist charters. For considerations of crew economy, diesel power is now almost universally used and many are not properly rigged for sailing.

I'm in love with Linda!

A great place for our anniversary. Or birthday. Or any other time you want to enjoy the sheer pleasure of nature while being pampered. We will do this again! We are world travelers and the week we spent aboard the Linda far surpassed our expectations. The food was excellent - very agreeable to the American palette. (You never really know what kind of food - or cook - you'll get aboard some of these private boats.)  Lots of boat toys to keep you busy and plenty of space aboard if you just want to enjoy a good book.  My wife & I would whole-heartedly recommend this cruise.
